You Don’t Need More Arguments About The Argument.
Online couples counselling for Sydney couples who still care about their relationship but feel caught in the same conflicts, reactions or distance.
Sometimes the topic changes.
Money. Parenting. Sex. Work. Family.
But the conversation ends in the same place.
One withdraws. One pushes harder. Both leave feeling unheard.
Over time, it can be easy to believe the relationship itself is the problem.
Often, it’s the cycle between you.
Most couples don’t seek counselling after one difficult conversation.
You’ve probably talked about it, promised things would change, read the books, listened to the podcasts or tried to reset things yourselves.
For a while, things improve.
Then life gets busy. Stress returns. The same reactions quietly find their way back.
Couples counselling can provide a different way of understanding what keeps happening and working with it together.

The Focus Is On What Happens Between You
My work isn’t about teaching communication techniques in isolation.
It’s about slowing things down enough to notice:
what triggers the conflict
how each person responds
where conversations begin to unravel
how protection gets mistaken for rejection
where different responses become possible
The goal isn’t simply fewer arguments.
It’s a relationship where both people can feel safer, more understood and more connected.

THE PROCESS
A Clear Process for Understanding and Creating Lasting Change
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Couple Counselling, with a Clear Place to Begin.
-
No. Couples often seek support long before a relationship reaches crisis point. Repeated conflict, emotional distance, resentment or the feeling that you cannot resolve something together are all valid reasons to seek help.
-
Yes. Relationship counselling isn't limited to monogamous couples. I welcome people in a range of relationship structures, including consensual non-monogamy (CNM), polyamorous relationships and other relationship configurations.
My approach is to understand your relationship on its own terms, without imposing assumptions about what a relationship should look like. Together, we can explore challenges, improve communication, navigate differences and work towards relationships that feel more connected, respectful and fulfilling.
The focus is on understanding the dynamics between the people involved, navigating challenges, improving communication and building relationships that feel more connected, respectful and workable for everyone involved. The approach is tailored to your relationship structure, needs and circumstances, without assumptions about what a relationship should look like.
-
Yes. I welcome LGBTQ+ couples and people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
My approach is grounded in respect, curiosity and understanding, without assumptions about how your relationship should look or function. The focus is on creating a space where everyone feels heard, exploring the dynamics within your relationship and working towards meaningful change together.
-
This is common. Both partners do not necessarily have to arrive with the same level of motivation. There does need to be enough willingness from both people to participate honestly. A Clarity Call can also help the more ready partner understand the approach and decide how to discuss it with their partner.
-
The aim is not to determine who is right or wrong. The work focuses on understanding the cycle between you and helping each person recognise their own contribution without blame.
-
It is understandable to feel this way, particularly when you have been hurt or frustrated for a long time. Couples counselling is not about dismissing what has happened to you. It is about understanding the dynamic well enough to see what each person can take responsibility for and what can change.
-
Couples counselling can provide a structured space to explore what has happened, the impact it has had and what would be required for trust and commitment to be rebuilt. Whether repair is possible depends on the circumstances and the willingness of both people to engage in the process.
-
Yes. Couples counselling is available online across Australia, with in-person sessions available in the Northern Rivers / Byron Bay region.
